Obsidian Entertainment and My.com have revealed their new tactical military MMO Amored Warfare that is scheduled for closed beta testing in 2014. Available for PC later on, the title promises awesome next-gen graphics, intense team-based gameplay, in-depth customisation and dynamic destructible environments.
In a free-to-compete experience, players will be put in the shoes of private military contractors who are called into action to engage against each other in modern combat vehicles. They will be able to join clans and take part in large-scale territory wars or choose among various other competitive and tactical team-based PvE and PvP gameplay modes.
"Armored Warfare gives players two deep levels of upgrading and progression through a huge array of both military vehicles and their own personal military base. Each giving players a diverse and wide-ranging path of strategies," told Richard Taylor, Project Director of Obsidian Entertainment. "We are incredibly excited to bring Armored Warfare to players around the world, so they can enjoy the strategic and destructive potential of modern fighting vehicles."
Overseeing their own personal command base, players will expand, upgrade and customise their headquarters, manage and enhance their vehicles, and train and develop their crews through a robust EXP and reputation and system. Dynamic environments will require a constant adaptation of strategies on the battlefield.
Developers promise to keep Armored Warfare updated in the future with new weapons, vehicles, base elements and battle modes.
