We recently dedicated a bit of our time to have a first look at the gameplay in Deep Silver’s Dead Island: Epidemic, the new MOBA-styled PvPvPvE massively multiplayer online game that currently is in closed beta testing. True to the Dead Island franchise of zombie survival on a tropical island, you pick up items of all kinds to craft your own weapons and even get a bit of the zombie virus that grants mutant powers.

We played through the team-based coop PvE mode "Horde", in which players fight their way through the level and defend points against waves of zombies that continue to pour in until coming across the final boss of the level, as well as the PvP mode "Scavenger", a 3-faction point capture and defence game – quite thrilling! So don’t miss out on the footage we recorded to get to know how we dealt with the zombie challenge!
