Webzen has announced that the new expansion of Rappelz, Epic IX Part 3, will be launched on February 2, introducing to the game the awaited Awakening system, with which players can boosts the skills of their characters to their maximum potential, new quests and dungeons, new enemies, as well as other new features.

The update will also bring major changes to the old dungeons, which will now return to the fray with new challenges. In addition magical pillars will appear enabling players to face new challenges, and special jewels will drop from the most powerful monsters. These jewels will provide a huge boost to the character's skills.

In order to enter inside the new dungeon, Remains of the Ancients, players will have to complete a new quest chain; once inside they'll have to defeat two terrible monsters and a mysterious enemy that protects the ruins.
