Ubisoft and Blue Byte have announced that The Settlers Online will receive a new feature called Epic Raids, which will bring new adventures, powerful enemies, magical resources and exclusive rewards for high level players.

This new feature will bring five new adventures, all of them with references to famous fairy-tales. The first adventure can be found by an explorer or directly available in the shop. When the adventure is successfully completed, player will be rewarded randomly with one of two new adventures. Thus, there will be two ways to end the story depending on which adventure players will get. These special adventures will bring to the game a lot of new and dangerous enemies like Unicorns, Greedy Inn-Keepers and Lying Goats.

These Epic Raids will also add lots of new contents to the game, whether new resources as magic beans and magic beanstalks, which you can get on your adventures, a new specialist, the Quartermaster General who is an expert in logistics, or the possibility to acquire 5 additional construction licenses which will allow players to get new buildings like fairy castles, magnificent residences or a golden tower capable of converting straw into gold.

In addition, level 50 players have at their disposition a new resource called Star Coins. If a player reaches level 50 they will no longer earn experience points but instead the Star Coins. On the day of the launch of the epic raids all already earned experience points by level 50 players will be converted to Star Coins. A new section in the ingame shop will allow trading in this special resource against very valuable items.
