NCSoft has announced the next free expansion for Aion; the expansion named Steel Cavalry is going to be launched the first quarter of 2014.

Steel Cavalry adds a new class, the Aethertech, which is able to summon magical war machines called Bastions, using key-shaped Cipher-Blades, two new instances, The Illuminary Obelisk, a shielding device that has been sabotaged by Beritra's 43rd Destruction Unit and the Iron Wall Warfront a new warfront to claim the Eternal Bastion, new skills, and in addition introduces balances and overall improvements to the game.
