Star Trek Online is celebrating its 4th anniversary and Cryptic and Perfect World are leaping at the ocasion to launch Season 8.5 including lots of updates and changes as well as the featured episode "A Step Between Stars" starring Tim Russ as Admiral Tuvok.

The new season introduces a new ship management system, a small space PvP arena, revised Federation episodic missions and more. With "A Step Between Stars", captains from level 10 onwards will continue their adventures begun in "Sphere of Influence", braving the dangers of flying over the sun to help Admiral Tuvok complete his mission. Players will moreover get the chance to take a flight in one of the newly added Dyson Hybrid Ships.
