After a successful Open Beta with more than 3 million registered players, Hi-Rez Studios yesterday officially launched their free-to-play mythology-themed MOBA SMITE with localised versions in French, Spanish and German in North America and Europe and also published a cinematic teaser in this context.

To celebrate this event, Hi-Rez will host a $200,000 Launch Tournament from Friday, March 28 till Sunday, March 30, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia in front of a live audience. The competition will be live-streamed worldwide and include the top four European and North American teams that have qualified from the SMITE Weekly Tournament Series that began on January 4, 2014. Half of the $200,000 prize pool is community contributed, based on sales of exclusive in-game merchandise.
