En Masse Entertainment has just communicated the release of the Threshold Defense update for Zombies Monsters Robots (known in Europe as Hazard Ops), which introduces a brand-new tower defence mode as well as new maps, new weapons and gear.

The Threshold Defense mode tasks players to take on waves of monstrous enemies as they march towards inter-dimensional portals called "Thresholds." They will get the chance to engage in new maps containing environmental unlocks such as turrets, teleportals, and even
wearable mech suits to stop their foes.
In addition to the new tower defence mode, today’s update also features 5 all-new maps including campaign and PvP modes, new costumes, and moreover introduces epic-tier weapons.
Currently in open beta testing, ZMR is preparing for the official launch coming shortly. More details are promised to be shared to commemorate the release.
