HEX: Shards of Fate has entered open beta testing, opening its gates to everybody. This current beta version already incorporates all PvP features the final game is supposed to have and will progressively receive additional content while heading towards its official launch. Currently featuring 350 cards available for play, HEX will soon be expanded with the introduction of a new set of cards, which will increase the total amount of playable cards to more than 500.
"Due to high demand and the need for further testing by increasing player population on our servers, we felt the easiest way to accommodate this is by removing the restriction of having to have a beta key," told Cory Jones, Head of Development and CEO of HEX Entertainment. "This testing phase is also very important for us in the evolution of HEX and for our community. Together with Gameforge we’d also like to take the chance to thank all of the players who participated in closed beta. We really look forward to continue creating an even better gaming experience with all of our players."
This move was preceded by the newest patch introducing to the game a plethora of new usability features and multi-faceted enhancements. In addition to an in-depth tutorial, which introduces newbies to the game’s mechanics, players will also benefit from an overhauled interface allowing for an enhanced overview during duels. The open beta moreover enables them to go head to head with differing grades of AI opponents in a wide range of duels.
