Last weekend, Blizzard revealed Goblins vs. Gnomes, the 1st expansion for their TCG Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, which is scheduled for release on iPad and PC during the following month, allowing players to expand their collection with more than 120 gnome- and goblin-instilled cards.

"Goblins vs Gnomes is going to turn Hearthstone on its head," told Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "It introduces a ton of new cards with all-new options for decks and strategies, and we can’t wait to see all the crazy combinations players come up with."

With Goblins vs. Gnomes, players will be thrust into an epic rivalry between goblin engineers and their gnomish counterparts, being able to put their hands on new cards featuring well-known faces Hearthstone and World of Warcraft players will be familiar with as well as some wacky and wild inventions. Card packs will be available for purchase with in-game gold or real-money but also through being victorious in the Arena mode.
