Last weekend, we had a hands-on test of F.E.A.R. Online, a free-to-play online shooter from Warner Bros. Games and Aeria Games which continues the established and well-known F.E.A.R. single player franchise. The titles aims at challenging players and simultaneously delivering the additional scare factor through a variety of coop scenarios along with the various PvP combat modes expected from a shooter.
When taking a first glance at the game, we checked out the tutorial (not recorded for our video) before jumping into a few PvP matches in order to find out what F.E.A.R. Online had to offer. We participated in a team-based Detonation match where teams are task with planting and deactivating a bomb as well as in a classic Team Deathmatch. According to our first impressions, we have a mixed feeling for the title: while pretty dated and sometimes not well put together, it actually is pretty fun to play. However, we recommend watching our video in order to find out our whole findings.
