With Shattered Destiny, HEX: Shards of Fate today receives its 2nd card set comprised of 200 new playable cards, along with 5 new heroes, the new tunnelling feature and additional skills.
'Tunnelling' is an element from the physical card games that allows players to play cards concealed, which prevents their opponent from seeing their special abilities, making it difficult for them to react. The 'Subterranean Spy' card, for instance, can be used to spy into the opponent’s hand without the latter being conscious of the action.
The new set moreover introduces additional skills such as improved defence against flying creatures, as well as extra options to directly knock out enemy units.
Furthermore, certain cards get the chance of being socketed twice, which can give them additional abilities, thus massively expanding the options available for personalising the cards in a collection. The 5 new heroes further increase the range of possible character skills, making it even easier to mould a deck to suit individual playing styles.
