For this new instalment of our Gameplay Commentary series, we dedicated some of our time to give Rising Cities, the city-building MMO from Bigpoint, a try. Already available for a couple of years, the title is a blend of SimCity and Farmville, delivering the same sort of casual strategy-based gameplay as some of the company’s other games. As usual, the MMO is an entirely browser-based game that provides players of all ages with a colourful and fun gaming experience thanks to its fundamental gameplay functionality and simple UI.
When taking a very first look into the game, we were interested in getting an impression of what Rising Cities had on offer when compared to other competitors in the genre as well as in seeing whether 2 years after launch, there was anything new to expect or just a common gameplay experience which is a proven road to success on the one hand, but also gives way for thinking that the game is simply a clone of any other city-building game.
Have a look at our gameplay commentary video in order to see some initial gameplay and find out about our opinion.
