Aeria Games has unveiled today the five classes that we can embody in his next free MMORPG, Echo of Soul (which is going to be released this spring). And we've discovered an interesting fact, there won't be healers.

The 5 classes are: Warrior, Archer, Rogue, Guardian and Sorceress. Each class has two specializations that further define their role: Warriors can be Berserkers or Protectors, the Archers may evolve to be Huntress or Bards, the Rogues may be Duelists or Assassins, the Guardians, StormGuards or EarthGuards and the Sorceresses may choose between being Firemages or Frostmages.

The developers have decided to not include healers, but they ensure that the battles will be very interesting and balanced, since when the abilities of the classes are used properly, they’ll effectively replace the need to have a healer. So, the variety of classes and specializations will totally influence the core gameplay. Only time can tell us how this decision will work.

In addition, Aeria has released a new video where they show us to the Rogue and their specializations, the Assassin and the Duelist in action.

"Allowing players to customize their class and play how they like is a critical component that sets Echo of Soul apart in the MMO genre," says Alex Billaud, Associate Producer. "Gamers will be able to adapt their character to the playstyle they like best, and each party will need to strategically balance these specializations to fill the 'traditional' MMO healer role - something unique to Echo of Soul."
