Neverwinter eventually arrives to Microsoft's next-gen console Xbox One, allowing all Xbox Live Gold members to download the game for free. Tomorrow, April 2, those who own such a console and a Live Silver membership will get access as well. An official launch trailer has been released as well, which you may check out further below.
The Neverwinter Xbox version comprises the entire content of the base game, along with the Tyranny of Dragons expansion and all currently playable classes. To allow for an easy transition of the MMO RPG experience from PC to console, the controls have been optimised for controllers and console features such as friend lists have been integrated. Check out the trailer for further details.
"Neverwinter represents Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic's entrance and dedication to the console market," stated Bryan Huang, CEO for Perfect World Entertainment. "Our development team has worked relentlessly to ensure that the Neverwinter experience lives up to console players' expectations for a high-quality free-to-play MMORPG. We're excited to welcome players to the Forgotten Realms and continue to build on their experience as we release updates throughout the year."
