Wargaming has announced that the official launch date of World of Warships: September 17. After conquering the earth with World of Tanks, and the air with World of Warplanes, now is the time to conquer the seas and oceans of the world controlling impressive warships.
When the game is released, players can control four classes of warships, among them we will find some legendary warships, like the battleship Yamato or the aircraft carrier Midway. There will also be available two full technology trees for Japan and United States, and some ships from the United Kingdom, Germany and the USSR, including the Warspite, the Tirpitz, and the Aurora. In total, there will be more than 80 historical vessels available and before the end of the year more countries will be added to the game.
“Based on our Open Beta success with World of Warships, Wargaming is poised to launch our next big game,” stated Fred Menou, Head of Global Publishing, Wargaming. “With 2 million participants and the average player spending 3 hours a day in game we have an armada of sea captains ready to take the helm of the ultimate naval combat game.”
