The latest major update for Guild Wars 2 has been released and it comes with a treat. Free for all players and available from today, Hearth of Thorns players (expansion required) are able to deploy gilders, allowing them to explore the world and fight in a totally different new way.

The update also includes a revamp to Shatterer, a five-story Boss encounter, balance updates and in-game events to celebrate the begin of a new lunar year.

From January 26 until February 9, Guild Wars 2 will host some in-game events celebrating the Lunar New Year. Players can shoot off fireworks, play the Dragon Ball PvP minigame, and earn rewards.
