Elite Dangerous launches today its third expansion, "The Guardians", introducing ship-launched fighters, passenger gameplay, quality-of-life improvements and new combat dynamics.

With this expansion, players can install a fighter launch bay in their larger ships, and hire NPC crewmates to pilot their ship while fyling into combat. The Guardians also sees the introduction of NPC passengers seeking passage aboard ships. This new feature unlocks a new career path. Players can pilot the new Beluga passenger vessel and transport politicians, VIPs or even prisoners.

Now it also easier to navigate, thanks to the new galaxy map filters. And the universe features new civilian installations, new capital ship dockyards, better starport interiors and new elements on planet surfaces.

The expansion is available at no cost for all season pass holders. Season pass is available for £19.99 ($29.99, €24.99). The game and the season pass together are available for £39.99 ($59.99, €49.99).
