The West is a free to play browser strategy from InnoGames where players step into the spurred boots of an old west cowboy. In the game players build up their cowboy character, improving stats, then join or settle their own town and compete against other players.

Teaming up with other players or joining another player’s town can offset a players need to spend cash. With certain features, such as the Adventure system, players can still be a benefit to their team even if they are low level and have weak gear, providing the matchmaker pairs them with a similar enemy team composition. Players wanting to go solo and who still want to be the best are unlikely to be able to do that without spending some cash along the way.
