Aeria Games has started the closed beta test of its browser-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game Starlight Story. Players will embark on a vital mission to save their dying planet from the destruction. Along the way they will explore a vast dreamlike landscape ranging from sophisticated steampunk utopias to enchanting, magical forests. The war between magic and technology is an omnipresent theme in Starlight Story, and players will need to derive strength from both sides in order to maximize their potential.

Starlight Story features deep MMORPG gameplay elements all within the convenience of a web browser. Customization is a key component, giving players incredible control over many aspects of their characters. Dozens of “Superstar” transformations can completely change a character’s appearance and abilities at will. Many loyal pet companions who aid in combat can be switched out as well. The Astro system allows players to further customize the stats of both their characters and their pets.

Starlight Story also offers a wealth of content for fans of both PvE and PvP. Players will have to work together to conquer a wide variety of dungeons and challenging world bosses. PvP contenders will similarly group up for intense team arena matches competing for prizes and bragging rights. In-game events will run during closed beta to promote these features of the game, offering rewards to the top players for each class and those with the highest battle rankings.
