NCsoft, has announced the update 2.5 of Aion. Under the name of Empyrean Calling, this update will be available on the European servers next May 25, 2011. Among the new content, contribute significantly updated graphics upgrade, new quests and instances, and improved character customization and new pets.

Accompanying the announcement, NCsoft has distributed representative of the update screens Empyrean Calling, and a video which also provide details of future Aion 3.0.

Main features of the update:

- Update Chart: The choice of a new graphics engine is compatible with high-end graphics cards. When you enable this setting the results are obvious. The lighting is brighter and the environment wins subtle shades and textures. The improved maps of the game system provides a user information more interactive and Atreia representations, and other areas are clearer and more attractive from an aesthetic standpoint.

- Improved Character Customization: Make your image stand out from the crowd. Daily and weekly players can be rewarded with new titles. Character upgrades have also been updated and new emotes has been added. Choose a new shortlist of face and bodys and change your facial expressions and facial form during character creation.

- Two new instances, Esoterrace and Empyrean Crucible: Empyrean Crucible presents a battle zone where the groups will face enemies 10 levels, each of which will of 5 successive hordes of difficulty. Winning Esoterrace, deprive Balaur of vital resources necessary to maintain the Tiamat Army. Enjoy the new pet as one of the many potential rewards of these instances.

- Increased the maximum level of the Legion: The Highest Level of the Legion has been increased from 3 to 5, each level can maximize the commanders and extends the storage space of the Legion. You acquire new items for the Legion, depending on their level. The ranks of the Legion has been extended from three to five.

- Mentoring: Lead a group of characters who have at least 10 levels below you, and you will be awarded in addition to helping lower level characters. Mentors can obtain rewards as quest, either daily or weekly.

- More Adorable Pets and Pet Mood System: Adopt new pets after participating in various quests and new instances. Interact with your pet with emotes to keep them happy. The Happy Pets will give you gifts! Pets have bags of food for them, where they can store food, drink and magic items that can be used automatically by themselves. Your pets can also loot themselves automatically.
