Ubisoft has started today the English closed beta of its strategic and management browser MMO Anno Online. The game combines the most popular elements of the Anno franchise, with new features to turn it into a persistent browser based MMO.

In the game players must manage their resources wisely, expand their territories, and create a commercial Empire. To achieve this you must cooperate with your allies, and your guild, build or hire a fleet and conquer new lands. In addition to satisfy the needs of the population, players will have to unlock new buildings, discover and claim new Islands, and connect them with trading routes.
