The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, known affectionately as “the Brickyard”, opened in 1909 and can accommodate up to 400,000 spectators, making it the largest-capacity stadium in the world. Home to the Indianapolis 500, arguably America’s most famous motor race, and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race The Brickyard 400, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway lies right at the heart of American motorsport tradition and is one of the world’s greatest arenas for racing. The outer oval, 2.5 miles in length, frames a modern road course that sits within it, eventually providing two tracks for Auto Club Revolution players to either “go for broke” and beat the 238mph oval record or master the 13-turn road course - a demanding test of car handling and driver ability which includes parts of the main oval as high-speed sections.
Ed Martin, executive vice president North America, Eutechnyx, said, “We’re hugely proud to be adding the most iconic US race track of all to Auto Club Revolution, for all users, for free.” He continues, “Indianapolis offers two fantastic courses for our players to race on and it’s great to be launching the main oval in time for the real-world Indy 500 race. We’re hoping the oval becomes the place to set the Auto Club Revolution top speed record”.
