The kickstarter campaign hopes to reach $2 million. If it's successful, Mark Jacobs will add $2 million himself to the development funding, and other investors will contribute a further $1 million. As befits an MMORPG, the pledge tiers are highly customizable through a system of Founders Points that will allow each backer to select his or her personal favorites from an extensive variety of almost 100 in-game items, skins and other perks, many of which will never be available again. Certain packages are being offered in limited quantities, some also on a non-repeatable basis.
"Camelot Unchained isn't a game with something for everyone," said Mark Jacobs. "Instead, we're aiming it at a niche audience of dedicated RvR-focused MMORPG players. We've tried very hard to incorporate our community's ideas and suggestions into our pledge rewards, even going as far as show the preliminary tiers in order to get feedback before the start of our Kickstarter."
"Our entire team is tremendously excited to launch our Kickstarter campaign," Jacobs stated. "If it funds, we will know beyond any shadow of doubt that there's an audience eagerly waiting for the chance to play our type of game."
