Carbine Studios has announced that it will launch its upcoming sci-fi MMORPG WildStar this year. To celebrate this of this announcement Carbine has revealed new details of the game, and has published three new videos.

WildStar takes place on the planet Nexus, a mysterious planet which was the homeworld of the race called the Eldan but left rich with treasures and technologies which players can discover and acquire. One of the areas of Nexus is Deradune, a place full of wildlife that will be the starting zone of one of the races of the game. They have also presented the Exile faction, a group of cast-offs and mercenaries who were forced to leave their homeworld and were the first to settle in Nexus.

In addition Carbine has unveiled new information about the Explorer and Soldier paths:

- The Explorer Path: This path is ideal for players who want to explore everithing. The Explorer Path is all about getting to that high peak and areas others can’t reach. The particulars of the Explorer are explained in the video:

- The Soldier Path: Designed to cater to players who prefer combat gameplay. Soldiers are given special path-specific quests and actions that provide a varied combat experience, as described in the video which you can see below:
