The Division will receive a new free content update this autumn. Dubbed "Resistance", update 1.8 will introduce a new area, a new social hub, two new game modes, a revamp of the rogue mechanics and optimization of the gear system. Watch the trailer below.

Players will get to explore a new area, West Side Pier, where two defeated factions seem to converge towards an alliance. This new region will be home to the two new game modes: Resistance and Skirmish.

In Resistance, groups of up to four players will have to face waves of enemies and survive for as long as they can.

In Skirmish, two groups of four players will face each other to get the highest number of kills before the time runs out.
