This past weekend at PAX East, Square-Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch its first expansion, Heavensward, on June 23, 2015, across Europe and PAL territories. The company has also announced a Mac OS version, which will be available through the Online Store on June 23.

Heavensward will feature a new story that takes players into the heart of the Dragonsong War, the bloody, thousand-year conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. It will bring an increased level cap from 50 to 60 on all disciplines, a new playable race, new dungeons and raids, new primal battles, and the introduction of flying mounts, single-rider airships, dragons and much more.
