With Games of Glory, Lightbulb has just revealed their current F2P MOBA project, which is set for launch on PC and Steam in early summer, with a precise date to be announced throughout the upcoming weeks. Mixing in the action, the perks and the skill-based gameplay of a shooter, the title is a unique take on the MOBA genre.
"Games of Glory is such an exciting project because it will offer existing MOBA fans the action they love while opening the door for new players with its unique style and gameplay, while enhancing the social aspects of the gaming community," told Anders Larsson, Co-founder of Lightbulb. "We really don't think there is a term currently out there that truly encapsulates what Games of Glory is. The best thing I can think of is 'SHMOBA', because it has qualities of the popular MOBA genre while creating an innovative gameplay experience with its shooter mechanics."
The game's run-and-gun mechanics, the battle conditions and to the non-stop action will force players to be constantly aware of their current situation and to switch between melee and ranged weaponry. Thanks to a customisable arsenal, abilities and perks each game will play out in a completely unique way, meaning that players will have to adjust their strategy and tactics.
Games of Glory will go without an auto-attack feature as well as lane phases and feature different game modes with distinct objectives, where success will depend on teamwork and each individual player's skills.
