During our Gamescom adventure we visited the booth of ProsiebenSat.1, where we meet Larry Liberty, Executive Producer of DC Universe Online. This action MMORPG full of superheroes has lived a second youth after his jump to the free-to-play model, constantly receiving updates and DLC with new content.

The first thing he wanted to show us was the new content that will come with the new DLC: Sons of Trigon, whose most anticipated feature is the arrival of a new set of celestial powers, a Healing based power set based on the conflict between light and darkness. The light skills are characterized by bright flashes, that will heal and support your team, while the dark skills are more gloomy and sinister, and will damage and weaken your enemies. Combining both types of skills you can launch powerful combos in a swirl of light and shadow effects.

He also told us that in this DLC you are going to visit a semi-destroyed version of Gotham, called Wasteland Gotham, where you will join Wonder Woman or Circe to defeat the Trigon, discover new PvP and PvE armor sets and participate in new solo and multiplayer adventures.

Finally, Larry told us that in the future they have in mind to further expand the housing system and the league system, and that there will be big news for both instanced and open world PvP as well.
