Grand Fantasia is a free 2 play massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in an expansive fantasy world. Grand Fantasia offers players a variety of innovative and engaging features, including: character and sprite customization, a branching class system, sprite crafting, an incredible menagerie of mounts, player-versus-player (PvP) combat, team-based battlefields, challenging dungeons, epic region and world bosses, a player statue feature, in-game bulletin boards, auction houses, a player romance system, robust guild management and communication tools.
FEATURES
- Explore the magical world of Saphael; Level up your character as you progress through the various quests in each region. Gather some friends and attempt to conquer some of the challenging instanced dungeons.
- Branching Class Trees; begin your adventure as a Novice and quickly gain the option of branching into 1 of 4 classes. Select specialization classes at level 5, 15, and 30 to ultimately choose from a total of 8 character classes. Further customization is available through the Alternate Advancement System!

SPRITES
Sprites are helpful little creatures that gather materials, craft items, and keep players company. Your Sprite is both your best friend and bitter enemy. Your Sprite is the key to getting rare, powerful equipment and can give you bonuses during a battle. You will want to choose a sprite that compliments your class. It is recommended to pick the Armor Crafting Sprite for your class as your main Sprite. It can produce 5 items: Boots, Leggings, Gloves, Chest and Helm. A weapon Sprite will possibly produce 3 items: 1 handed weapon, 2 handed weapon or maybe even a weapon for a different class.
REPUTATION
Reputation is the key to obtaining and being able to use Special items. Some of things rep points are needed to buy include: Mounts, Sprite Items, Raw Materials and Books. To view your Reputation, press L to open your Adventure Log. The Fame tab shows your Reputation and Titles. The History tab shows what you have completed, what is available, and the amount of reputation you will gain for completing those objectives.

This game has gone to crap. Unless you have tons of cash to shell out for the good equipment, Do not play. The game is now Cash shop biased in terms of stats. Equipment can gain bonuses from +1-+15 and +15 grants 71% increase in an equipments stats. The game is full of twinks and is just not fun to play anymore unless you are a Pure PvE person.
I’ve been hunting around for a open-world 3D MMORPG to play for a while now.
I can’t stand how many recent games rely on instances for the majority of their content. I want to explore as well as fight!
Grand Fantasia boasted 2 things that made me stick with it.
1. Little lag. Most games that have an open-world end up also trying to support high-end graphics, and that just ruins the experience for the 80~90% of us who can’t afford the right system.
This may not be a big deal for some, but for me, blocky frame rates serve only to stress my nerves and negate any fun I get out of a game.
2. The Sprite system. My god those things are cute. I know the system has flaws, but for the majority of the time, they’re awesome.
For me, this feature made the experience different enough that I didn’t feel like I was playing a cookie-cutter MMO.
Moving past my big 2 points, the graphics are easy on the eyes (unless you’re not into anime), the community is great, and this game has all the basic essential features any good MMORPG should have like an Auction house, good Guild management, etc.
Overpriced, unfriendly players and a high fail rate on your sprite. The game has cute graphics but the cons outweight the pros.
Great MMO, dont listen to ppl trying to say it sucks lol they dont know what they are talking about, this game is great for anime lovers and has a unique equipment crafting system, fun dungeons great pvp, awesome events and loads of areas to explore, quest, and train :D.

This game is pretty good. I personally have not had a problem with lag and i have a very outdated computer (like 5 years old). The graphics are good even for this non-anime geek. The gameplay is similar to WOW and there are points (like in WOW) you are like…ok where do I go next? In my opinion this game is a lot better than WOW. On, no monthly fee. Yes they have an in game shop.. but it isn’t required to by from it to play, just a perk if you want better items. It is a lot easier to lvl up and get money than in WOW (i keep referring back to WOW because I was a big WOWer) Plenty of classes to choose from and I like the class evolution (example, fighter-warrior-berserker-warlord) each class with their own special evolution and with their own special perks. Farming and crafting for items is a lot easier than in WOW due to the fact you have your sprite go mine or collect specific items rather than you having to do it. You can simply focus on lvling up or questing. Finally, the auto-bot.. oh this is a life saver. Stock up on potions and what not, go to sleep at night as a lvl 20, wake up in the morning as a lvl 40. What can I say but very nice indeed.
It would have been another simple MMO if it weren’t for broken gameplay mechanics. This game will pretend like it’s really easy to live and play on forever for the first 20 levels, then it tries to drain your gold, silver, copper or whatever you got at every slightest opportunity.
If something fails, you lose gold, you lose resources, you lose that extra gold to build it again. If your sprites fail they become ‘tired’ so if you want rapid progress you need to spend more gold to get their stamina up instantly. Or if you push them too hard they will make it worse. They refuse to come out in their ‘normal’ mood and yet when they do come out they pick up every item (including curses) and fill your (limited) inventory with junks.
With real cash you can buy (no not the best dragon mount) buy a clay which will give you that dragon mount upon the 5th time you perform alchemy on it. And it usually fails after 2nd.
Fortifying to +5 is a pain with grade C scrolls (which every NPC and monsters drop like crazy) but nothing gives you B or A grades, which still has shitty chances to get to +9. (at +5 your weapon gets a minor glow but this game is so stingy it doesn’t even let that happen so easily) To make things worse they added +15 fortification. After +9 every fail (everything fails after +7 anyways) will delete the weapon permanently. UNLESS YOU PAY TO GET THAT ITEM WHICH WILL MAKE IT NOT GET DELETED UPON FAILURE. This COSTLY item will disappear after JUST ONE FREAKKIN USE. So to get to +15 from +9 you need to buy that item 6 TIMES!
Game is broken and they don’t bother to fix. They brought over some game-play features from Eden Eternal but its incomplete. The game feels incomplete.
If you wanna go ahead and verify what I said for myself be my guest. You’ll find far more disappointing features than all that, unless you PAY in this FREE-TO-PLAY MMORPG ofcourse.
Don’t waste your time on this game. It was great when it began but it has gone downhill swiftly. The player-base is super small and has way too many gits. Leveling isn’t difficult if you don’t mind boring and repetitive grinding. Take a look at the forums for a couple minutes to see what kind of people are there. Bunch of arguing trolls, gets old fast. They have ‘gamesages’ who are supposed to support GM’s but it is all a joke. Pay-to-Play games are a better choice. In GF you can easily spend $100-$500 in a month and end up with pretty much nothing to show for it. Their promos are rip off and they let people sell and buy their gamecards in the game which has caused a ton of problems and lots of people have found ways to cheat but no one cares. This game already has one foot in the mmo graveyard. Find something with a better community and promotions that don’t suck.

I will agree that you almost have to pay about $20 a month on random stuff to keep things moving quickly. However, I have been playing this game for a year now and have spent less that $100. I really enjoy this game, and I really hope more people start playing. Sign up quick, tell runescape to jog on!

As the other players above agree, without spending $200-$300 dollar a month you will not being able to compete in pvp. Level cap is 90 at the moment. Leveling is easy untill lvl 70, after that it becomes too hard too slow too repetitive. Some people argue that if you dont spend real $$$ you can also compete in pvp. This is true, however you have to spam dungeons for in game gold for several hours a day, and doing that for a couple of months. Only children do that, you can’t expect from an adult gamer to lower himself doing these childish things. Only students with lots of free time and no money spam dungeons.

People will tell you everything in cash shop can be obtained using in game gold, so its not pay to win. This is bs and hilarious on so many levels.
1) It would take you months of grinding to buy cash shop items using in game gold.
2) Buying cash shop items with in game money just makes the game even more PAY TO WIN, because those who buy cash shop items get all the in game gold.
Here’s something I remember back in the days when I played GFO which proves how ridiculous this game is.
I was casually browsing through the auction house and saw an item, a “junk” item which has no use but to be sold to NPC for a few copper. It was in the auction house selling for 99999 gold, that is the max amount of gold you can have because theres only space for 5 digits. Later I realized that the auction fee was something like 5%. So THIS GUY, just threw away 5000 gold just to show off. (Side note, at that time lvl cap was 60 or something, i was lvl 50 and I had around few hundred gold). That was how I knew this game was s#it.
It’s a great and fun game. I love it.
Terrible game now, it’s basically a pay to win game,the more AP (aeria points) you spend the better you are. The community is terrible, people don’t even really do dungeons, its usually just a higher level selling dungeon runs. Its just a game for lazy mostly lazy people in my opinion, in most pvp arenas everybody or a good portion of people have all their gears fortified to +18, which ruins it for people who just want to have fun.
This used to be a fun,evenly balanced game,but since they merged to one server the drop rate from killing monsters has been seriously screwed up. Players should not have to spend an hour or more killing one type of monster over and over again just to get it to drop a weapon or armor piece they need. Even on days when they have Double Drop turned on and you’re using a drop-boosting charm it is near impossible to get any kind of weapon/armor chest,or if you do it is usually junk or something you don’t need.
If you’re a casual gamer, and playing just for fun-it’s an okay game. If you’re playing for PVP though, you’re gonna rage a lot by the shit community. lmao. People in this game have zero sense of competition. There’s mainly two types of pvpers in this game-undergeared nubs who join arena and give up as soon as it’s remotely challenging and then there’s decently geared players with huge egoes; you kill them once, they bring all their high level friends to spam you. It’s the most retarded community ever; essentially if you don’t suck up the better players, you become targeted constantly by groups of players who can’t stand losing in fair fights. Oh and the management is shit, probably why there’s so much exploiting going on and GMs don’t do shit about it. Aeriagames bans players that don’t deserve to be banned for the most absurd reasons and don’t ban people who actually deserve to be banned mostly cuz they spend money and they want to make more money 😀 They essentially do not give a fuck about this game, the players only care about money.
