The Grand Tournament, the second expansion for Hearthstone is now available for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. This expansion adds to the game more than 130 new cards, and the new Inspire and Joust mechanics that will allow us to create new types of decks and strategies. The new expansion packs can be purchased with both real money and gold, and can also be winned as a reward in the Arena Mode.

The new Joust mechanic gives the ability to reveal a minion in each deck and win a special advantage for the player if their revealed minion has a higher mana cost than that of their opponent and the Inspire mechanic is triggered by using a hero power, allowing Inspired minions to do anything from giving other minions +1/+1, to gaining Windfury, or even restoring health to your Hero.

“With the new Inspire and Joust mechanics, and over 130 new cards to play with, The Grand Tournament brings a fun medieval-tournament vibe to Hearthstone,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We can’t wait to see what players come up with now that they have their hands full with tons of new deck and strategy options.”
