KOG Games has just communicated the launch of the largest content update to date for their free-to-play MMO brawler Grand Chase. Season 5 introduces an overhauled UI, a reworked dungeon experience, including the new boss-rush style dungeon Dimension's Door, as well as enhanced AI, a brand new dodge skill and a damage ranking system.
Grand Chase players are now able to enjoy the polished and streamlined world map display and a fluid quest progression with new NPCs and a linear map direction and quest presentation. The PvE gameplay also receives a massive enhancement thanks to redesigned dungeon levels and platform layouts where amount and type of mobs will be randomised. Moreover mobs and bosses will generally by smater, stronger and faster than before while the damage output of all playable characters has been re-balanced.
"The latest update brings a fresh, vibrant attitude to Grand Chase," said Eugene Kim, CEO of KOG Games "The game will deliver a streamlined experience that both veteran and new players alike will truly enjoy."
In addition, all playable characters can acquire the innovative dodge skill via a specific quest, which enables them to use evasive manoeuvres during combat in dungeons. And finally the newly introduced damage rank feature informs players about their DPS potential in dungeons and also generates a record. By playing dungeons over and over again, they are able to refine their skills and beat their score.
