As January is drawing to its end, it's time for our exclusive selection of the top 10 free-to-play MMOs of the month. Be prepared for multiple changes in comparison to last month's ranking, since there are 4 titles that (re)entered our list, shaking up the list quite a bit.
New or back to our list are Star Trek Online, Sevencore, Marvel Heroes 2015 and Warframe and while MMOs such as Defiance, Rift and TERA fall back behind, other competitors like ArcheAge are among this month's climbers. DC Universe Online is the only one able to defend its position.
However, we don't want reveal more, so you'll have to take a look for yourself at these 10 MMOs that most caught our attention in January 2015 to find out which one is our new No. 1!

10 - Star Trek Online
Star Trek Online is a free-to-play MMORPG set in the vast universe of Star Trek. It features customisable ships and characters from the Klingon Empire and United Federation of Planets, ground, space and shipboard gameplay and unique options for player-generated content.
9 - DC Universe Online
DC Universe Online is a free-to-play action MMORPG set in the comics universe of DC. Players choose one side - superhero or villain - and fight alongside their favorites DC heroes and villains. Thanks to the physics-based combat, players can turn almost any item around the world into weapons.
8 - Sevencore
A free-to-play riding action MMORPG Sevencore is a unique fusion of sci-fi and fantasy combined into an in-depth story driven adventure where players take part in an epic faction war across the lands of Inadar, a continent shaped by both magic and technology. Each player is able to control their own companion mount to help them explore and fight their way through this war torn world.
7 - Defiance
Defiance is a futuristic open-world massively multiplayer online 3rd-person shooter where thousands of players from different platforms patrol the Earth surface looking for advanced alien technology. You can explore the world alone or with others as you improve your skills and level up, unlocking powerful weapons and technologies that will help you to survive the battles that await.
6 - Marvel Heroes 2015
Marvel Heroes 2015 is a free-to-play action MMO game created by David Brevik, the visionary behind Diablo and Diablo 2. Set in the iconic Marvel Universe, the game combines the core gameplay style of action RPGs and MMOs with the expansive rooster of heroes from the Marvel Universe. Players can collect and play as their favourite Marvel superheroes and team up with friends in order to stop Doctor Doom from devastating the world with the power of the Cosmic Cube.

5 - Rift
Rift: Planes of Telara is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), where thousands of players adventure together to save a world being torn apart by magical rifts that unleash deadly planar invasions.
4 - Warframe
Warframe is a free-to-play co-op-focused third-person action game set in an evolving sci-fi world. Warframe armour provides players with unique offensive and defensive powers to explore, upgrade and master during purpose-driven radical raids.
3 - ArcheAge
ArcheAge is a next-generation fantasy MMORPG introducing players to a fantasy sandbox world where they begin their journey on one of two continents: Nuia and Harihara. From there, everything else is up to the player, from what character they play, to where they go, and why. They may team up with friends to engage in PvP, craft items and tools to build their own house or castle, decorating it with self-made furniture.
2 - TERA
The Exiled Realm of Arborea (abbreviated as TERA) is a free-to-play 3D fantasy MMORPG with visually stunning graphics quality and a very intense and rewarding combat where skill, position, timing and aim determine success in combat. Players can use a controller or a keyboard and mouse, and they have full control over the attacks. Also, TERA is set in a world where the players dictate the flow of the economy and individually impact the community environment.

Neverwinter is a free-to-play action MMORPG based on the acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game. Epic stories, action combat and classic roleplaying await those heroes courageous enough to enter the fantastic world of Neverwinter.
