Nexon has just released the first gameplay footage taken directly from the game engine of their upcoming free-to-play MMO MapleStory 2. The title is currently in its alpha stage and scheduled to enter closed beta testing in the course of 2014. Worldwide release dates are yet to be announced.
Today's gameplay trailer highlights MapleStory 2's full 3D gameplay, casting a light on combat, skills, new environments and boss fights. You will also see elements such as driving, swimming or wall-climbing, which are completely new to the MapleStory franchise.
Along with this, Nexon Korea has also communicated plans to recruit MapleStory 2 supporters to attend an exclusive ‘Supporter’s Day’ in late June, where they will be able talk with the developing team and see the game in action.
