Perfect World has communicated the release of the free module, Curse of Icewind Dale, for their Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG Neverwinter. This update allows players to venture to iconic Icewind Dale locations and experience a plethora of all-new content.
With Curse of Icewind Dale, players will be able to engage in open world PvP and PvE content and mine the land for Black Ice, a valuable resource required to craft powerful items. They will take on brand new quests known as Heroic Encounters while working for one of the new opposing factions, the Ten-Towners or the Arcane Brotherhood.
"Releasing our third major update less than a year after launch is substantial achievement", told Craig Zinkievich, COO and Executive Producer at Cryptic Studios. "Many compelling new features have been added into this latest Module, including new open world PvP and PvE content. We’re committed to continually bringing our Neverwinter players high-quality and engaging new content, and our players will discover great new gameplay and story content in Curse of Icewind Dale."
Moreover, the free content expansion provides players with new end-game advancement opportunities thanks the new Hunter Ranger Paragon Path, offering enhanced survivability and utility.
