New Cinematic Trailer for Ghost Recon Phantoms

Ghost Recon Online - news

Ubisoft officially released Ghost Recon Phantoms - previously Ghost Recon Online - and, in addition the the new identity, provides players with new features. They also launched a brand new cinematic trailer directed by Patrick Clair, best known for directing the title sequence of the HBO hit show True Detective.

"The launch trailer is an accurate portrayal of the new DNA of the game," told Corey Facteau. "Sleeker, more refined and looking better than ever, it showcases the new character design in a map that our veterans know very well, the Xinyi District. The intense action sequence is just a peek into the intense combat of the game and reinforces the Ghost Recon Phantoms belief that by fighting as a team, you prevail."

Ghost Recon Phantoms' new identity includes a new background story, new user interface as well as new character and weapon designs for all the available classes. Moreover, 3 maps have undergone a complete lighting and level redesign and the new ModMaster feature enables players to completely customise their weapons and characters to distinguish themselves from the others on the battlefield.

Furthermore, matchmaking has been overhauled, now taking into account player skills and level of equipment in order to ensure a fair gaming experience. To allow new players an easier start, they are sooner offered access to better weapons.

Ubisoft also announced plans to open new servers in Asia, Australia and South America, in addition to those already covering Europe and North-America.
