Ubisoft has updated the tech tree of its free-to-play strategy MMO Anno Online and introduced 3 additional monuments that players can construct and customise to gain various boosts for their island development and further personalise their island.
In addition to the lately introduced library and botanical garden, players can now also build an amphitheatre, an imperial cathedral and a castle. The first new monument they get access to after unlocking the library is the amphitheatre that can be erected with a certain amount of knowlegde points. They can also equip this monument with a loge to increase the number of inhabitants per building and add an arch to expand its area of influence.
Next, players can unlock the imperial cathedral and the castle when having acquired the necessary knowlegde points. Both monuments increase the population capacity in each building and can be customised to further enhance their boosts and expand threir influence area. While a citern increases the castle's population bonus and an tocsin its influence, the cathedrals population bonus grows with the construction of a crossing tower and its influence spreads with a bell.
Furthermore, the game's public buildings are now called "attractions", and the more of them influence a building, the more people will move in a residence. Affecting all residence levels equally, each attraction type grants a different amount of additional inhabitants per building.
