InnoGames has just announced the beginning of open beta testing for their latest browser-based strategy MMO Tribal Wars 2, which follows its successful predecessor Tribal Wars. All players may now join their tribe on English and German servers while another 17 languages are to launch throughout the following weeks.
Tribal Wars 2 is designed as a cross-platform experience on browsers and mobile devices, enabling players to use the same account for web, iOS and android. During the beta period, the game will only be available for browser while the launch of the mobile apps is planned for the end of the year.
The game was tested with a limited amount of beta participants during the last few weeks and is already highly anticipated by more than 300,000 gamers who pre-registered for the title and look forward to become the leader of their own small village in the midst of a medieval world.
"The closed beta gave us very valuable input for the development of the game and we thank all players who participated in it," told Nino Protic, Product Manager of Tribal Wars 2. "However, now is the time to test the game with a bigger community to prepare for the final launch."
