PostModern Era Arrives to Forge of Empires

InnoGames has just communicated the beginning of a new era in their free-to-play MMORTS Forge of Empires. The Postmodern Era has already started on all English-speaking worlds, while other language versions will see the introduction on June 3.

With this new era, the exiting times of the 1970s and 80s have arrived in the game, providing players with a new storyline which is even more tailored to their individual progress, as well as numerous buildings and several new technologies along with a whole new continent.

This trailer gives further explanation on some features of the Postmodern Era:


Players will get access to plenty new buildings, such as a toy factory to create supply and happiness, the junkyard that produces lots of supplies at the cost of happiness, a car factory, steel plants, public pools, zoos and so on. Eager blueprint collectors will also enjoy The Habitat and Cape Canaveral.

The Postmodern Era moreover brings an entire new continent which consists of 12 provinces and features a jungle-theme to conquer. This won’t be any easy task, as enemies will arrive in waves to make the battles more challenging. However, new military units, such as commandos dealing additional damage in close quarters and Machinegun teams retaliating against enemy attacks, will help players to stand out victorious.
