Trion Worlds has revealed the details for its upcoming big 4.3 update for RIFT, Crucia’s Claw! The new update will bring with it a host of new content, including an all-new raid and a brand new soul – the Mystic Archer! Crucia’s Claw is currently up in the Public Test Server, and is scheduled to launch to all RIFT players on October 25.
Crucia’s Claw presents the new Bastion of Steel raid, where players will be faced with an arena-type setting where they must face Crucia’s formidable generals. The scales have tipped in Crucia’s favour in her eternal struggle against Ahnket, as a cadre of her most powerful warriors have entered the fray. It is up to the Ascended to defeat them and restore the balance of power! As the first Tier 2 Prophecy of Ahnket raid, Crucia’s Claw will provide the best equipment yet to be found in the Celestial Lands for Ascended that are up to the challenge.
The 4.3 update will also introduce a brand new soul, the Mystic Archer! The Mystic Archer is not your typical mage; whereas other mages cast their spells through foci such as a staff or dagger, Mystic Archers focus their power in the form of magical arrows fired from their bow. Care should be taken when utilising the Mystic Archer’s abilities as each offensive spell in their arsenal must be aimed, by either character movement or placing ground targeted AoEs where the most devastation will ensue. Proper use of these spells will create elemental arrows that the Mystic Archer can use to fuel more powerful shots that can decimate any foe who strays into their sights making it a force to be reckoned with.
