The Hamburg-based developer Playa Games has released its award-winning online game Shakes & Fidget on Steam. Following a successful Greenlight campaign, the MMORPG is now available on Valve’s digital distribution platform. The multi-platform title is also still available for browsers, smartphones, and tablets.

With the aim of getting MMO fans excited about Shakes & Fidget and to make the game even more accessible, Playa Games released it for voting on Steam Greenlight. Within 24 hours, the multiplayer RPG was in third place out of more than 1,800 submitted games, and the community reached a decision after only a week: Almost 20,000 players want to see Shakes & Fidget on Steam.

Launched as a Flash game for browsers in 2009, Shakes & Fidget evolved into a cross-platform title with the introduction of its mobile apps, and currently has over 50 million registered players in more than 30 countries. Making the game available on Steam was the next logical step for Playa Games. Users without Flash installed on their computer can now dive into the humorous adventure from the convenience of their Steam Library.

Shakes & Fidget players currently playing the MMO in browsers, on iOS, Android or Windows Phone also have access to the full functionality of the Steam version. Existing accounts can easily be used via Steam, allowing players to keep their complete progress.
