Gameforge and En Masse have just announced the release date for TERA's 1st expansion: Fate of Arun is set to launch on December 16, introducing to the game a new continent complete with new dungeons and zones, brand-new class skills, enhancement to the gameplay and crafting as well as a level cap increase to 65. Players may also look forward to a new battleground type allowing 2 teams to engage in a competitive PvE race to battle enemies.

The expansion will also include a new quest UI that allows players to teleport right to the action, find groups, or turn in quests from any location in order to streamline the levelling process from level 60 to the level cap. Players will moreover benefit from simplified enchanting and the ability to fuse unused crystals into powerful new ones.

For a limited time, veteran and new TERA players alike will be granted a free Northern Initiative Pack for logging in to the game. Available until the release of Fate of Arun, these packs contain Fate, the exclusive HP-restoring white tiger mount, as well as character buffing charms, stamina restoring campfires and rare potions.
