As another month is drawing to its end, it's time for our exclusive selection of the top 10 free-to-play MMORPGs in June 2014. Be prepared for multiple changes in comparison to last month's ranking, since only 2 MMOs - one of which is Rift - were able to defend their position!
With LOTRO, Ragnarok II, Black Gold Online and Defiance, there's a total of 4 new additions to our list, which, in adition to this month's climbers, Neverwinter and Aion, are reposible for other copetitors to fall back behind. This the case of DC Universe Online, which tremendously drops several positions, as well as of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
However, we don't want reveal more, so you'll have to take a look for yourself at these 10 MMOs that most caught our attention in June 2014 to find out if there's a new No. 1!

10 - LOTRO
Set in the famed world created by J.R.R. Tolkein, Lord of the Rings Online is a free-to-play MMORPG that allows players to take the role of some of the iconic hero races from the novels and films. With such a huge player base, the world is brought to life with its buzzing population and makes finding other players who share your passion of questing or role-playing even easier.
9 - Ragnarok Online II
Ragnarak Online II is a free-to-play fanatsy MMORPG that allows players to choose one of six heroic classes to travel across the land and discover lost regions, explore dangerous dungeons and seek out powerful artefacts. You are also able to choose from a variety of jobs and focus on crafting items for yourself or to trade with other players.
8 - DC Universe Online
DC Universe Online is a free-to-play action MMORPG set in the comics universe of DC. Players choose one side - superhero or villain - and fight alongside their favorites DC heroes and villains. Thanks to the physics-based combat, players can turn almost any item around the world into weapons.
7 - Black Gold Online
Black Gold Online is a free-to-play MMORPG that also features cross-genre gameplay, including both first-person (FPS) and third-person shooter (TPS) elements. Inspired by the myths and fairytales throughout Northern Europe, it combines the magic-filled world of fantasy with the mechanised, gothic world of steampunk where players will be able to trigger more than 3,000 dynamic events and actions that can change the game world. Additionally, characters will have the ability to change forms and drive giant armoured mechs in combat, creating a variety of fun and different encounters for both PvE and PvP experiences.
6 - Neverwinter
Neverwinter is a free-to-play action MMORPG based on the acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game. Epic stories, action combat and classic roleplaying await those heroes courageous enough to enter the fantastic world of Neverwinter.
5 - Aion
Aion is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that has recently converted to free-to-play. It combines PvP and PvE (a concept the developers call PvPvE) in a fantasy game environment.
4 - Rift
Rift: Planes of Telara is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), where thousands of players adventure together to save a world being torn apart by magical rifts that unleash deadly planar invasions.
3 - Star Wars: The Old Republic
Star Wars: The Old Republic is a MMORPG with a free-to-play option which allows thousands players to play their own story-driven Star Wars saga. It represents a new approach to online entertainment, featuring immersive storytelling, dynamic combat, and groundbreaking companion characters.
2 - Defiance
Defiance is a futuristic open-world massively multiplayer online 3rd-person shooter where thousands of players from different platforms patrol the Earth surface looking for advanced alien technology. You can explore the world alone or with others as you improve your skills and level up, unlocking powerful weapons and technologies that will help you to survive the battles that await.
1 - TERA
The Exiled Realm of Arborea (abbreviated as TERA) is a free-to-play 3D fantasy MMORPG with visually stunning graphics quality and a very intense and rewarding combat where skill, position, timing and aim determine success in combat. Players can use a controller or a keyboard and mouse, and they have full control over the attacks. Also, TERA is set in a world where the players dictate the flow of the economy and individually impact the community environment.
