InnoGames has just announced that the beginning of closed beta testing of Tribal Wars 2 is scheduled for June 24. The English server will be the first to open, granting access to all who signed up. During the initial days, only a moderate amount of participants will be allowed though for the purpose of performance tests. Afterwards, significantly more players will be let in.

The closed beta will exclusively start for browser and when the game enters open beta, it will also be available for iOS and Android. Players will be able to register a single account for all platform, which enables them to play from their preferred combination of devices.

Tribal Wars 2 thrusts players into a medieval world, tasking them with the leadership of a modest settlement they have to grow and expand into a thriving empire. And in order to survive in this war-torn environment, they will have to fight. The game focuses on strategic real-time battles with and against others, in which the sheer number of troops isn’t the only thing of importance. Military pacts and political alliances will also be vital for success.

Teamwork plays a key role in Tribal Wars. In comparison to its predecessor, it provides players with notably enhanced features and 17 buildings, 26 technologies and 13 unit types in total. Tribal Wars 2 will be released as cross-platform game for Android, iOS and all browsers.
