Gaijin Entertaintment has announced that soon is going to implement several improvements to War Thunder's graphics engine, and to present them has released a new video in which game developers reveals us with these changes.
The new graphics engine (Dagor 4.0) will improve the way in which the light interacts with the environment and items in the game, adding new effects in which the light fades or reflects on different surfaces as rubber, wood, steel or glass. With these changes the environments and vehicles will become even more realistic.
Further improvements of the game's graphics engine is the integration of the NVIDIA GameWorks technologies that allows to add larger destructible objects to the game, allowing us to see how walls, ruins and buildings react realistically to the in-game ballistic physics. Finally, the game also receives the NVIDIA Waveworks technology that will allow the game to generate very realistic waves for the oceans, seas, rivers and lakes, which will be affected by the direction and strength of the wind.
